A SurveyMonkey alternative for feedback you have to act on
Choose SurveyMonkey when you are surveying many people and the result you want is a chart. Choose Acquainto when each piece of feedback is a customer someone has to call back, and a vague answer is no use to them.
The short answer
- SurveyMonkey is the better tool for measuring what many people think: the same questions, lots of responses, results you analyze.
- Acquainto is the better tool when each response is a person with a problem, and you need to know exactly what it is before you reply.
Where SurveyMonkey is better than Acquainto
- A free plan. SurveyMonkey’s Basic plan is free, with limits on questions and responses. Acquainto has a free trial, then paid plans.
- Analysis. SurveyMonkey’s AI finds trends, themes and sentiment across your responses, and you can ask it questions about the results. Acquainto returns each conversation’s answers and does not analyze across them.
- Integrations. It lists more than 200, with Salesforce, Power BI and Tableau on Enterprise plans. Acquainto delivers by webhook.
- Certifications and data location. SurveyMonkey is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified, and Enterprise customers can choose US, Canadian or EU data centers. Acquainto has no such attestation yet and stores customer data in the United States.
- Languages. It supports 57 survey languages. Acquainto supports twelve.
What Acquainto does differently
A survey’s follow-up questions are written in advance: if the score is low, show this question. When someone answers “the delivery was a mess,” the survey records it and moves on, and someone on your team has to write back to find out what went wrong. Acquainto works at the moment of the answer:
- It asks again when an answer is incomplete — which order, what happened, what they expected — and offers a choice where precision matters.
- You describe what you need to find out, not the branches to get there.
- The person answering reviews every answer before it is sent, and is told who gets them before the first question.
- One clean value per question comes back by webhook, so the complaint arrives as a record your team can act on.

Which should you choose?
Choose SurveyMonkey if:
- you are running a survey, and the result you want is a trend, a score or a chart;
- you need a free plan, native CRM and BI connectors, or certifications for a security review;
- you survey in more than twelve languages.
Choose Acquainto if:
- each piece of feedback is a customer someone will follow up with;
- a vague complaint today means an email thread before anyone can fix it;
- you want the details asked for in the conversation, not afterwards.
