Mint a personalized link for a whole contact list
Paste a contact list or upload a CSV, and every identifier on it becomes its own personalized link — one call instead of one click per person.
Where it is
Open Personalized links from the eflow’s own nav row, next to Feedback, and switch to the Many tab. One on the same page still mints one link at a time for a single respondent; Many is for the rest of the list.
Two ways to give it your contacts
- Paste a list — one identifier per line. Usually an email address, but anything you use to recognize the person works, because it is never shown to them.
- Upload a CSV — drop the export from wherever your contacts already live, and pick which column holds the identifier. The other columns are not read; only that one column becomes links.
Either way, blank lines are dropped and a repeated identifier is minted once, not twice — the page tells you how many of each it removed before you mint anything.
Before you mint: the plan’s limit
The page shows how many live personalized links your plan allows and how many you already have, so you know how many more fit before you paste a large list, not after a failed mint. A link stops counting once it is revoked, expires, or runs out of uses — revoking ones you no longer need frees room for new ones.
Set an expiry once, for the whole batch
One expiry date applies to everything you mint together. Leave it blank and links default to 30 days out — long enough for a send and two reminders. A program that recurs quarterly should set its own date rather than rely on the default.
The spreadsheet downloads once
The moment minting finishes, a CSV downloads with three columns: the identifier you gave it, the link itself, and its expiry date. It is the one file with the whole batch in it, so keep it somewhere safe.
If you lose it, you do not have to create the batch again. Show link on any live row of the list below shows that link’s URL and QR code again — one row at a time, which is the only way we offer them. There is deliberately no “show all” and no way to download the spreadsheet a second time: one file getting away from you is a smaller problem than one signed-in session being able to copy every invite you have outstanding. Each time you show a link it is recorded in your account’s activity log, next to the entry for creating it.
Finding one person in the batch afterwards
The list below the mint forms is where every link you have created lives. It cannot hand a URL back — see above — but it can tell you everything else about one: who it is for, how many times it has been opened, when it expires, and whether it still works.
Type part of an identifier into the search box to narrow it. The search runs across the whole list, not just the page you are looking at, so a batch of five hundred is one search rather than twenty-five pages of scrolling. The buttons beside it show only Live, Revoked, Expired or Used up links; the count above the pager tells you how many matched.
A link that carries answers you supplied when you created it is marked Prefilled.
The link column is named acquainto_link by default, and you can rename it before minting. Keep the same name across every eflow you do this for — most email platforms cap how many custom fields a contact can carry (Mailchimp’s standard audiences allow 30, Constant Contact 25 per contact), and a fresh column per eflow eats that ceiling inside a couple of years. One reused column that gets overwritten by each new import stays well under it indefinitely.
Getting the link into your send
Import the downloaded CSV into your email platform the way you import any contact list, matching on the identifier column. Once the link is a merge field on the contact, drop it into your email:
| Platform | Merge tag |
|---|---|
| Mailchimp | ?id=*|LINKID|* (using the merge tag you gave the imported field) |
| Klaviyo | {{ person|lookup:'Unique URL' }} |
| ActiveCampaign | Insert the field’s personalization tag from the email editor’s tag picker |
| Brevo | {{ contact.ATTRIBUTE }} (using the attribute name you gave the column) |
| Constant Contact | Insert the field as a dynamic contact detail from the email editor |
All five merge a custom contact field into a link URL natively — nothing else to install or connect on our side.
Sending to only this batch
If you only want this send to reach the people in the list you just imported, not your whole audience: most platforms let you tag contacts on import. Tag the import, then send to that tag instead of the full list. This works the same way whether the tag came from this batch or any other import — it is a feature of your email platform, not something specific to these links.
